He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Doris Bauer; his son Bradley Bauer; and his brother Michael Bauer. He is survived by: his children, Joel Bauer (Danna) and Ali Bauer; the mother of his children Mary Trupiano Bauer; his grandchildren, Olive May, Ivy Elise and Kinsley Grace; and also Ernest William Bauer.
