He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alois Abele and Agnes Abele; his wife June Jennings Abele; his children, Philip Abele (Maureen), Mark Abele (Janice), Maureen Abele, Lisa Abele and Matthew Abele; his grandchildren, Shawn Abele, Adam Abele (Kristen), Kimberly Plaga (Jim), Dawn Muccino (Tony), Daniel Venchenko and Justin Cetnar; and his great grandchildren, Xylyx, Yzzy, Gabrielle, Aidan, Dylan, Ashton, Tristan and Isabella.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Detroit Firemen's Fund Association, or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
