He was predeceased by: his wife Tammy Emig; his parents, Wilbert Emig and Velma Emig (Harter); and his siblings, Gaye Maurer (Emig), Donald Emig and Marshall Emig.
He is survived by: his sons, Joshua R Emig of Atlanta, MI and Michael E Emig of Grand Rapids, MI; his granddaughter Ruby R Emig; and his siblings, Stuart Emig (Sue) of Comins, MI and Mona Lee (Carey) of Saginaw, MI. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home (318 Pearl St, Mio, MI 48647). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Comins Community Church (4263 1st St W, Comins, MI 48619). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
