William Henry Parsons Obituary
William Henry Parsons, born February 14, 1935, in the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, in Columbiaville, MI, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old.
A proud veteran, William served as a Military Policeman during the Korean War. He worked for General Motors as a teenager, fibbed about his age to join the Army, and returned to find his job at GM still waiting for him, along with a promotion. He was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
In his leisure time, William found joy in working with model trains, winemaking and gardening.
William is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Carolyn Parsons. He was a devoted father to his daughters Loretta Buckner, of North Branch and Diana Fackler (Troy) of Roscommon, and his son William Parsons (Renee) of Columbiaville. He was a cherished grandfather to Krystal Townsend, John (Ruby) Buckner, Julie (Jacob) Heim, David (Julie) McLane, William Parsons and Joshua Parsons. William was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Buckner, grandson: Raymond Parsons, two brothers: James Parsons and Edward Parsons, and his parents, James and Helen (Kowal) Parsons.
William's life was marked by dedication, service, and a passion for his hobbies. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
