He was predeceased by: his parents, Gonzalo and Paz Valdez (Garcia); and his siblings, Delia and Joel. He is survived by: his wife Martha; and his children, Samuel (Stephanie), Rebecca (Kirk Rieger) and Albert. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
