He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sims and Thelma Sims; and his pet Buster. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Sims; his children, Steven Lapensee (Jess), Chad Sims, Brandon Lapensee and Shelby Young (Seth); his grandchildren, Anya, Braxton, Sawyer, Gavin and Brody; and his siblings, Terry Sims (Judy), Deb Henski (John), Rick Sims (Judy), Steve Sims (Sue) and Cindy LaRange (Leroy).
