We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2024, at the age of 99, Burns L. Rolland Sr. (Columbiaville, Michigan), born in Flint, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel V. Rolland and Ella G. Rolland; his wife Doris J. Rolland of Detroit; his sisters, Portia Hicks (Wesley Sr.), Donna Mason (Douglas) and Elizabeth "Carol" Rolland; his brothers-in-law, Wallace Floyd (Wilma) and Paul Floyd; and his son-in-law Kerry White.
He is survived by: his children, Sharri Phillips (Stephen), Burns Jr. (Teresa) and Kristin White (late Kerry); his grandchildren, Ashley Yoshizaki (Coh) and Douglas White; his great grandchild Misaki; his sister-in-law Valerie Proctor (late Louis); and his nieces and nephews, Debra Brown (Dan Snedecor), Rebecca Goldsboro (Stanley), Dr. Wesley Hicks, Ranelle Hicks, Dr. Paul Hicks, Diane Reeder (late Terry), Rosemarie Nance (Erik), Douglas "Rolland" Mason (Adana), Marc Floyd, Aaron Mason (Jackie) and Dr. William "Nick" Collins. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
