He is survived by: his parent Vivian Carter (Walker); his wife Gula Carter of Colon; his daughters, Vivian Hulsey (Rick) of Burlington and Dianna Blowers (Terry) of Sneads Ferry; his stepchildren, Gregory Higgins (Lori) of Mendon, Zona Amstutz (Ron) of Phoenix, Ursula Hubley (Peter) of Kazanluk and Bulgaria; his siblings, Charles Carter (Doris) of Boonville and Barbara Burgett (James) of Powell; his stepmother Imogene Sullivan of Waldo; and his stepsiblings, Ardith Hoath (Gary) of Union City, Susan Foron (Stanley) of Gainesville and George Robinson (Peggy) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
