With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mark A. Thornton of Colon, Michigan, born in Salem, Ohio, whose life came to an end on October 29, 2024 at the age of 64, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Thornton and Norma Jean Stuart; and his stepfather Carroll "Cal" Shoop. He is survived by: his children, Taylor Thornton (Michelle Modad) of Seattle, Jared Thornton (AJ) of Union City and Paige Thornton (Kyle Knapp) of Brighton; his grandchildren, Quinn, Annie and Drew; his siblings, David Thornton (Mary) of Portage, Joe Thornton of Colon and Wendy Evans (Greg) of Three Rivers; and his close friends, Randy and Sandi Jackson of Colon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Colon United Methodist Church (224 N Blackstone Ave, Colon, MI 49040).
