He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion B. Hughes and Ann Marie Hughes (Miller); his siblings, Richard Hughes and Mary Ann McElvain; and his brother-in-law Walter McElvain.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann; his children, Andrew Hughes (Ilma) and Becky Stauffer (Rob); his brother Robert Hughes; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Isabel Stauffer, Kevin Jourdan and Joshua Leonard.
The family suggests that memorial donations be directed to either Promedica Hospice, 300 E. Chicago Rd., Coldwater, MI 49036, or to American Legion Post #454, 122 E. State Street, Colon, MI 49040.
