She was predeceased by: her parents, James Merrifield and Della Merrifield (Gustafson); her sister Florence; and her brother-in-law Carl Drumhiller, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Allan King of Kalamazoo; and her children, Steven King of Grand Junction, CO, Barbara Welke (Tom) of Benton Harbor, MI and Charlotte Thompson (Loren) of Annapolis, MD.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you honor Carolyn with memorials to The Memory Care Learning Center, in care of The Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Foundation, 2400 Portage Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
