He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Metz and Hilda Metz; his wife Jayne Metz; and his siblings, Marvin, Dewayne, Kenneth, Loyd, Herbert, Robert, Hilda, Elsie, Barbara, Pauline Marrion, Betty Longenecker, Mildred Nistler and Susie Pilgrim.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Metz Jr. (Tricia) of Coloma, Trish Barker of Stevensville and Roger Metz (Nicole) of Benton Harbor; his stepdaughter Erin Brown (John) of St. Joseph; his siblings, Raymond Metz, Virginia Pitts, Linda Pilgrim and Judy Cupp (Dillard); and his grandchildren, Brandi, Ron III, Ashlei, Roger, Courtney, Brayden, Andi and Harper. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
