He was predeceased by: his mother Ann Carpenter; and his foster parents, John Gay and Sarah Gay. He is survived by: his wife Diane Murray; his children, Kenneth Murray, Michael Murray (Linda) and Wendy Goodline; his grandsons, Maxwell, Nicholas Murray, Zachary and Drew Goodline; and his siblings, David Mock (Melinda) of Alpharetta and Barbara Hamm (Paul Potts) of Dewitt, Mich..
