He was predeceased by: his parents, George Helms and Helen Helms (Mollik); and his brother Dale Helms. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sons, Joe Helms of Stevensville and Dan Helms of Fort Worth, TX; his brother Phil Helms of Cheyenne, WY; and his grandchildren, Lucille, Evelyn, Vivien, Charlotte, Kaitlyn and Daimon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to Trans World Radio or the Far East Broadcasting Company.
