It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara A. Schaar (Coleman, Michigan), born in Midland, Michigan, who passed away on August 1, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent William Herkel; her grandson Ronnie Fruchey; her great grandchildren, Conner LaBonville and Owinn LaBonville; and her brothers, Donald, Robert, Rex Wilbur "Dale", Duane and Buck.
She is survived by: her parent Aileen Herkel (Wells); her spouse Chester R. Schaar; her children, Charles Schaar of Florida, Marilyn Fruchey, Ron Fruchey of Coleman, Brenda Spitnale and Chris Spitnale of Breckenridge; her brother Maurice Herkel of Coleman; her sister-in-law June Herkel of Coleman; and also, Catherine Schaar of Florida and Gloria Herkel of Coleman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
