She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Swartout and Violet Swartout (Pio); her siblings, Lee C. Swartout, Paul Swartout, Betty Kelley and Rachel H. Knapp; and her close friend Russell Joslyn.
She is survived by: her niece Lynnette Wintersteen of Coldwater; and her brother-in-law Leslie Knapp of Coldwater. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
