He was predeceased by: his parents, John Childers and Pauline Childers (Holbrook); his wife Janice Ann Custer-Reed; and his sons, Robert and Earl.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jonette, John, Frank, Glenn, Jim and Bobbie Ann; his sons, Kevin Reed (Laura) of Coldwater and Ron Reed of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Gary Reed (Katie), Stacy Reed-Glasser (Brent), Brian Reed and Taygon Reed; his great grandchildren, Carter, Madison, Vincent and Elliotte; and his sister Tena Gilliam.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation (1276 Tate Trl, Union City, MI 49094). A prayer was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
