He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Ortega and Socorro Ortega (Avila); his wife Patricia Snyder; and his siblings, Teofilo Ortega and Tomasa Gloria.
He is survived by: his children, Tereso M. Ortega Jr. (Renee), Kathleen Hamlin (Jesse) and Julie Ortega; and his brother Paul Ortega. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and other extended family and friends.
