It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sallie Gates of Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on March 30, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gamby and Mildred Gamby (Lucas); her husband L. Jack Gates; and her half-brother Charles Gamby. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Potchynok (Richard) of Northville, MI, Barry Gates (Joyce) of Ann Arbor, Terry Whelan (Jim) of Coldwater, Toby Gates (Donna) of West Milton, OH and Rick Gates of Coldwater; and her brother John Gamby (Barbara) of Coldwater. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and her loving nieces and nephews.
Masks and social distancing will be required for those attending services.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Branch Area Food Pantry or to the family to go to the Jack and Sallie Gates U of M Memorial Scholarship Fund.
