He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Nichols and Jessie Nichols (Wood); his daughter Michelle Ledbetter; and his siblings, Gerald, Harold, LeRoy, Leo, Arthur and Veda.
He is survived by: his spouse Sue Jean Fogelsong; his daughters, Sharlene Nichols Cleaver of Coldwater and Jackey Nichols of Coldwater; his grandchildren, John Russell Cleaver and Hannah Marie Cleaver; his brother Richard Nichols of Texas; and his son-in-law Donald Ledbetter.
