He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Boehmke and Julia Boehmke (Barilla); his grandson Tristan Yeakey; his brother Gerald "Butch" Boehmke; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Boehmke and Don Tart.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Strong; his sons, John Boehmke (Sheila) of Michigan Center, Robert Boehmke (Shelbi) of Petal and Aaron Boehmke (Lucinda) of Coldwater; his stepchildren, Robin Truax (Tim) of Charlotte and Amy Yeakey of Tekonsha; and his siblings, Fred Boehmke (Rosie) of Fredonia, Jim Boehmke of Norway, Richard Boehmke (Sue) of Crystal Falls, Julia "Cookie" Tart of Iron River and Judy "Tootsie" Beesley (Leo) of Milwaukee. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
