He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Schafer and Alice Schafer (Kibiloski). He is survived by: his wife Carol Schafer of Coldwater; his children, Lesley Schafer of Coldwater, Kelly Simmons of Coldwater, Kathleen Schafer-Raymond of Coldwater and Scott Schafer of Jackson; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Simmons and Kyle Raymond (Lexie); his great grandchild Brooks; and his brother James Schafer of Bronson.
