He was predeceased by: his parents, John McLatcher and Bernice McLatcher (Inde); his wife Virginia Milbourne; his son Fred McLatcher; and his siblings, Joan Gale, Mildred Bradley, Josephine Copenhafer, Theodore McLatcher, Richard McLatcher, John McLatcher and Edward McLatcher.

He is survived by: his children, Beverly Motzer (Gerald) of Shelby Township, Linda Zinn of Coldwater, Gloria Grandy of Coldwater and James McLatcher (Royann) of Angola; his adoptive daughter Rachel Hobbs (Mike); his sisters, Dorothy Heator of Litchfield, Mary Roach of Sherwood and Teresa Noble of Coldwater; and his grandchildren, Kelly Buell, Shawn Haller, Synda Gaglio, Lynda Gaglio, Angela Gaglio, Rainia Crabill, Aleysha Harper, Shannon Gregor, Caleb McLatcher, Amy McLatcher, Shelly Detcher and Abigail Youpel. He is also survived by his many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and his loving nieces and nephews.
