She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Veld and Marjorie Veld (Barrett); and her grandson Zachary Alldredge. She is survived by: her former husbands, J. Roger Alldredge and John Akins; her husband James Thomas of Coldwater; and her children, J. Robert Alldredge (Gretchen) of Coldwater and Tami Wendorf of Bronson. She is also survived by four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
