She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Petersen and Hazel Petersen (Grover); her husband John T. Swanson; and her brothers, George "Pete" Petersen and Neil Petersen.
She is survived by: her children, John Swanson (Karen) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Eric Swanson (Hilary) of Ann Arbor, Janine Swanson of Coldwater and Julie Burr (David) of Bay Village, OH; her grandchildren, John, Erin, Luke, Conor, Dylan, Alison, Holly, Joseph, Caleb and Kyle; and her great grandchildren, Elodie, Corinne, Trent, Maisie, Cade, Everett, Emersyn, Ellory, Avery and Sylvie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association.
