He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Knapp and Glee Knapp (Hart); his former wife Rachel Hope Swartout; his wife Marsha Miller (Lawrence); his daughter Sherrial Lynne Knapp; his siblings, Clinton Markham, Frances Knapp, Ellen Brown, Rolland Knapp and Duane Knapp; and his pet Reese.
He is survived by: his daughter Lynnette Wintersteen of Coldwater; his granddaughter Brooke Stout (Corbin) of Coldwater; his great grandchildren, Preston, Macy, Suri and Ellary Stout; his stepchildren, Wendall Lawrence (Kathy), Korrina Spencer (Rob) and Rhonda Harvey (Richard); and his pets, Sophia and Lexie. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
