He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Ash and Rowena Ash (Boone); his brothers, Herman, Leonard and Carl; his son Lynn Ash; and his granddaughter Chelsie Ash.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Snyder; his children, Leon "Pete" Ash (Monica) of Coldwater, Tammie Vaughn (Ken) of Coldwater and Randy Ash (Michelle) of Coldwater; and his grandchildren, Shondell Hamlin, Danielle Wibert (Jeremy), Tanyell Uren (Jeff), Kenny Vaughn (Lisa), Brandi Jo Ferguson (Mike), Dalton Hardie (Kayla) and Cody Ash (Ashley). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
