He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ernsberger and Hazel Ernsberger (Lincoln); his wife Joyce Smullen; and his son Lawrence "J. R.". He is survived by: his children, Su Diamond (Charles) of Bronson, Kandy Ernsberger of Coldwater, Jack Ernsberger (Laurie) of Coldwater and Fred Ernsberger (Tami Wendorf) of Bronson; his sister Betty Bates of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Cassandra Nageldinger (Adam), Yolanda Huerta (Taylor), Carol Lopez, Lori Hochstedler (Trevor), Jason Ernsberger, Nicole Adamski (Brandon), Jeff Ernsberger (Rhonda Eicher), Tawny Modert (Aaron), Torey Ernsberger and Damen Ernsberger; his close friend Grace Houtz of Coldwater; and his brothers, Frederick and Donald Ernsberger. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews.
