She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Bryant and Thelma Bryant (Merrifield); and her nephew Joe Garber. She is survived by: her children, Jay Thornton (Steph) of New Milford, PA, Nancy Thornton of Macclenny, FL, Kristi Thornton of Grand Rapids, MI, Gregory Thornton (Jill) of Bluffton, IN and Shelby Kunk (Greg Kock) of Angola, IN; her sister Nancy Garber (Mickey) of Escanaba, MI; and her nephew Paul Garber (Jessica). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
