It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Dean Lutjens of Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hartzel Lutjens and Helen Lutjens (Purdy); his sisters, Marilyn Rodesiler and Linda Lutjens; his brother-in-law Donald Rodesiler; and his granddaughter Marissa Lutjens.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Gayla Hammill (Art) of Quincy, Penny Messner (Rick) of Parma, MI and Dean Lutjens (Sonia) of Coldwater; his sister Phyllis Herman (Allan) of Coldwater; his brother-in-law Harry Squires of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Allen Hammill (Becky Wallen), Lance Hammill, Trevor Hammill, Jared Hammill (Kelsey), Stepfanie Tribble (Shane), Miranda Lutjens (Jaden Bennett), Cassandra Lutjens, Taylor Wilson (Dakota) and Brent Ferris (Jami); his great grandchildren, Aurora Hammill, Carter Ferris, Isaac Ferris and Blake Wilson; and his pet Chloe. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
