He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Jeff Hess (Tina) of Quincy and Suzie Newman (Chris) of Coldwater; his stepdaughter Robin Carlen (Craig) of Grand Rapids; his child Beverley Hess (Hanson) of Coldwater; and his grandson Army Specialist Christian Newman (Courtney) of Killeen, TX.
