He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hurrell and Olive Hurrell (Luckhurst); his wife Joyce Hurrell; and his half-sister Betty Hurrell (John). He is survived by: his close friend Katharine "Kathy" Cary of Coldwater; his nieces, Janice Erts (David) of Sturgis and Carol Schimke of Manistee; his great-niece Nancy Misner (Gary); his great-nephews, Matthew Erts (Tina) and Stephen Erts (Rheta); his grandchildren, Kimberly Kimball (Trevor), Mikayla Dowley (Alex) and Rachel Burkhart (Austin); his great grandchild Braelyn Kimball; his great-nieces, Ava, Brenna and Emma Adame; and also, Rachel, Elise Misner, Kristin, Evan, Ansel Erts, Michael Cary (Tami), Diane Cary, Ronald Love, Brooke Adame (Sam) and Stephanie Love.
