He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Furney and Ferne Furney (Claar); his daughter Susan Higgins; his brothers, Glen and Neil Furney; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Weber and Sam Hardy.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Furney; his children, Cindy Snyder (Mike) and Michael Furney (April); his grandchildren, Matthew Snyder (Elizabeth), Emily Snyder, Allison Snyder, Sarah Higgins, Ella Slocum (Andy), Johnathon Higgins, Tristan Furney (Michaela), Hannah Furney, Colton Furney and Dilylah Furney; his great grandchildren, Leah, Henry, Samuel, Calvin John and Carleigh; his sisters, Evelyn Weber and Neta Hardy; and his son-in-law Tim Higgins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Quincy Chapel (111 E Chicago St, Quincy, MI 49082). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
