He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie Zimmerman and Regina Zagyva; his wife Judy Kyser; his daughter Deena Zimmerman; and his brother Maynard Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his children, Edward Zimmerman (Dawn) of Ocala, FL, Lila Zimmerman of Denver, CO and Lauren Keith of Coldwater. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
