It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claretta P. McDonald of Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Boston and Mildred Boston (Clark); her husband John McDonald; her former husband Thurlow D. Maggart; her daughter Claretta Reva Moore; her brothers, Charles and Vonnie Boston; her grandsons, Christopher Shepard and Alfred Guertler II; and her son-in-law Alfred Guertler.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Sunday of Coldwater, Janice Guertler of Union City, Jean Laux (John) of Deltona, FL, Pat VanDyke (Dean) of Coldwater, Pamela Maggart of Waterloo, IN, Thurlow Maggart (Bonnie) of Fremont, IN and Doug Maggart of San Tee, CA; and her stepson Bruce McDonald of Quincy. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, over 40 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her loving nieces and nephews.
