He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gillette and Bessie Gillette (Vogel); his son Donald Gillette; his brothers, Clyde Gillette and Robert Gillette; his granddaughter Jessica Bates; and his great grandchild Canton Gillette.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Paradine; his children, Doug Gillette (Renee) of Coldwater, Dennis Gillette (Sherri) of Coldwater and Donna Heinemann (Patrick) of Coldwater; and his grandchild Mari-Lynn Marquart. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
