He was predeceased by: his parents, Russ Johnston and Hazel Johnston; his wife Lillian Scheffler; and his siblings, William Johnston and Marion Reynolds.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Schiffelbine and Debbie Johnston; and his grandchildren, Terri Hutton (Tom), Heather Stockdale, David Tanton (Kristi) and Melissa Todd (Jason). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
