He was predeceased by: his grandson Gerald Werner; and his son-in-law Theodor Werner. He is survived by: his wife Cecile Lorraine Houle; his daughters, Diane Werner and Martha Carnahan (Timothy); his grandchildren, Theodor Werner (Yvette), Candace VanLuven (Gary) and Christina Carnahan-Pilgrim (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Kayla Bowers, Andrea Werner, Andrew Thick, Alec Solomon, Nathanial Carnahan, Blake, Ariauna, Sara, Nate and Chloe Pilgrim.
