He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Chidester; his former wife Georgene Cook; his spouse Beverly Bennett; and his granddaughter Victoria Stoltz. He is survived by: his children, Joan Stoltz (Tim), David Chidester (Amy) and Karen Lay (Tim); his grandchildren, Brett Stoltz, Alyssa Stoltz, Andrei Stoltz, Doug Chidester, Allison Chidester, Brandon Lay, Kaitlyn Lay and Devon Lay; and his stepchildren, Connie Bratcher (Mike) and Craig Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
