He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Smith and Dorothy Smith (Lucker); his grandson Andrew Dodge; and his siblings, Ruthie Smith, Carole Richardson and David Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Smith; his children, Deneil Dodge (Menzo), Kimberly Dodge (John Herbolsheimer) and Timothy Smith; his grandchildren, Jason Dodge (Kelly Barber), Adam Dodge (Heidi), Elyse Anslow (Chad), Joelle Hardy (Scott), Christian Dodge (Madeline McCormick), Meagan Ranney (Dale) and Jacob Smith (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Adysn Anslow, Walter Hardy, May Ranney, Miley Dodge, Albert Hardy, Kinley Anslow, Brooklyn Ranney, Kassidy Anslow, Peyton Dodge, William Smith, Reagan Ranney, Madeline Dodge, Remy Anslow, Andrew Dodge, Julien Dodge and Louisa Dodge; and his siblings, Mark Smith (Debbie) and Shirley Karenko (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church (5375 W Mount Morris Rd, Mt Morris Township, MI 48458).
