He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Shumaker and Nettie Shumaker (Walker); his wife Eva Shumaker; his siblings, Estella, Ellen, Kathryn, Charles, Ruth, Dorothy, Phyllis, Donald and Carolyn; and his sons-in-law, James Gentz and Ken Kennedy.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Kennedy, Lynn Shumaker, Hope Urbanik-McGraw, Lori Gentz and Scott Shumaker (Kristen); his grandchildren, Samuel McGraw, Isabella McGraw (Jason), Frank Kennedy (Jackie), Zachary Gentz (Hannah), Erik Gentz (Ashley), Michael Shumaker (Tabitha), Tyler Shumaker (Crystal) and Christopher Shumaker; and his great grandchildren, William, Reagan, Madison, Avery, Riley, Patrick, Ollionna, Dylenger, River and Baby Payment. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Bethany United Methodist Church or to the Veterans Memorial Park in Clio.
