He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Burgess (Rodgers); his children, Troy Davis and Jeannie Shelton (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Dilan, Lynsie, Makayla, Blake, Lexi, Michael, Justin, Josh, Holli, Larry and Larissa; his brother Howard Burgess (Beth); and his stepsister Nancy Lockhart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
