He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hect and Esther Hect (Gordon); his grandson Sebastian Hect; and his sister Sherry Tomalia. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn "Sue" Hect; his children, Renea Kennedy, Becky Barclay (Brian), April Rourke (Wayne) and Amy Whittenburg (Bill); his grandchildren, Alexandria Bacon, James Bowers, Elizabeth Rourke, Hannah Rourke, Nathan Rourke and Austin Whittenburg; and his sister Denice Pietrangelo (Mark). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
