She was predeceased by: her parents, William Grout and Mabel Grout (Bennett); her husband Richard "Dick" French; and her brothers, Robert and Stuart Grout (Jean).

She is survived by: her children, Mark French (Cheryl) and Mary Philo (Keith); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hutzel (Nicholas) and Christopher French (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Charlotte; and her sister-in-law Eleanor Grout.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Music Department at First United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
