He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard S. Phillips and Violet I. Phillips (Rice); his wife Mary E. Crates; his sister Nancy Hall of Saginaw; his nieces, Jenny Gebauer (Aaron) and Karen Stiffler (Greg); and his nephew Richard Schofield. He was also cherished by 8 grand nieces and nephews.
