She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn VandeGiessen and Lillian VandeGiessen (Brennan); her husband Lloyd Schug; her brothers, Jack and Robert VandeGiessen; and her son Russell Schug.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Schug (Vicky) and Dennis Schug (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Sims (Randy), Cory Schug (Sarah), Darin Schug (Christina) and Mallory Elsey (Jeremy). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
