He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Newbegin and Jennie Newbegin (Thompson); his former wife Ellen Griffin; his grandson Kevin Newbegin; and his siblings, Grace Lanway, George Newbegin and Jim Newbegin.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Schneider; his children, Grace Skalski (Noah), Gary Newbegin (Karen), Laurie Williams (Tim), Tom Newbegin and Susan Bridger (Chris); and his stepson Trey Bazinaw (Lisa). He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, his 17 great-grandchildren.
