He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Vatter and Alfreda Vatter; his wife Nancy Vatter; and his son Darin Polishuk. He is survived by: his children, Gavin Polishuk, Doug Vatter (Tammy) and Jackie Vatter; and his grandchildren, Katey Host, Cheyenne Vatter, Chena Vatter, Jason LeBeau and Jim LaBeau. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church.
