As Sylvia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sylvia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pappas and Irene Pappas (Hilaszek); and her husband Michael. She is survived by: her children, Michael McGann and Sheila Shields; her grandchildren, Michael McGann, Katherine McGann, Brendan Shields and Julia Shields; and her brothers, Peter Pappas (Karen) and Joe Pappas (Lynn). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson (1368 N Crooks Rd, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel (2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304).
