She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Josephine (McInerney) and Donald Francis McVey; her siblings, Donald Francis McVey and Sally Ann Duncan; and her grandson Matthew Thomas Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Noel Shearer, Chauntelle Marie Shearer, Thomas Shearer (Kendal), Mary Elizabeth Shearer and Suzanne Shearer Davis (Sam); her grandsons, Samuel Swift Davis, Jr. (Sarah) and Peter Gorton Davis (Lindsey); her great grandchildren, Samuel III, Benjamin and Rowe; and her brother Jim McVey (Eileen).
